Ask The Dead - The Leans 7" Vinyl EP

Regular price $6.99

Ask the Dead formed in March 2012 & features former members of Prayers For Atheists (Strange Famous Records).

With a sound that's equal parts punk, post-hardcore, & indie, Ask the Dead has brought their energetic live show all across the Northeast. They've shared the stage with No Trigger, Heartsounds, Roz & the Rice Cakes, Aviator, & Dikembe among others.

The band released their second EP 'The Leans' on 7" vinyl with help from Riotous Outburst Records in September 2013. This was followed by an East Coast tour with NY garage-punks In Circles in 2014.

The band is currently hard at work on their first full-length album, and will be featured as themselves in the movie 'Some Freaks,' due for release in 2015.

What the press is saying about Ask The Dead:

'Think of Titus Andronicus’ "The Monitor." "Signal to Noise" is a promising start for a new band with a bright future.' - The Noise magazine

'Hell, when a band lobs one into my wheelhouse by billing itself as "Hüsker Dü covering the first Foo Fighters album," it damn well better exceed expectations. And it does. Ask the Dead's 2012 debut EP, "Signal to Noise," is a concise, thumping fistful of tracks worth looking up.' - Providence Phoenix

'...straight up loud rock & roll with reckless abandon...some of the best punk rock to come out of Providence in a very long time.' - GoLocalProv

'As intense as it is accessible, Ask the Dead’s EP "The Leans" is post-hardcore perfection; it’s an irrefutable formula of energetic melodies and fearless vocals. Not to mention that all of that comes out of guys who live solely for the virtue of the music. What could be more punk rock than that?' - Stay Home Blog
