Deep Puddle Dynamics - The Taste of Rain... Why Kneel? 2xLP VINYL
ALL PROCEEDS FROM THE SALE OF THIS PRODUCT GO TO THE FAMILY OF BRENDON "ALIAS" WHITNEY. The album is priced to allow for a portion of funds to finance future pressings of the record, in hopes that it will remain in print to help further the legacy of Alias.
In 2022, B. Dolan mounted a Bandcamp campaign to reissue the first and only LP from the legendary Deep Puddle Dynamics on Vinyl. Thanks to supporters of DPD and the late, great Alias, the campaign met its goal and the album is once again available on wax... for now. Strange Famous Records is proud to offer the remaining copies from the original Bandcamp campaign while they last.
This double LP is pressed on translucent royal blue vinyl, and features a full color printed insert adapted from the original album art. A digital download code redeemable at Bandcamp is included in the LP package.

As far as left-field indie-rap origin stories go, you'd be hard pressed to find a more important document from the underground scene at the turn of the century than 1999's "The Taste of Rain... Why Kneel".
The only LP from DEEP PUDDLE DYNAMICS features ALIAS, DOSE ONE, SLUG & SOLE early in their careers, backed by soon to be legendary beatmakers ANT, DJ ABILITIES, DJ MAYO, JEL, MR. DIBBS & MOODSWING9.
It's therefore not surprising the record has long been considered a sought-after classic by many. Vinyl has been out of print for years, and selling for exorbitant prices on Discogs.
Going forward, the rights holders have agreed to donate all future proceeds from the album to the family of Brendon "Alias" Whitney, enabling the possibility of re-issues like this for the first time.
